VRS DGNSS

The VRS DGNSS (Differential GNSS) service, provided by GeoNet, assures positioning accuracy approx. 10-50cm with single or dual frequency (L1/L2) GPS receiver.

For this purpose, the receiver must be able to receive real-time corrections via GSM modem.

Data obtained in VRS DGNSS mode can be used for:

  • GIS&Mapping applications, precise navigation, hydrography, fleet management, precise positioning of agricultural machines and arable land determination, ecology, environmental and water protection, various researches and others.

The process of surveying

  • The reference network stations continuously receive data from satellites and forward them to a central server with data processing software installed (Trimble GPS NET).
  • The software decides the ambiguity in the network, generates corrections and send them to rovers.
  • Rovers connect to the server via radio, GSM or Internet connection to obtain real-time corrections and calculate the position within few centimeters, using the algorithm set out in the software.
